Race entry registrations for Race of Remembrance 2025 open now!
Mission Motorsport, the Forces’ Motorsport Charity, is delighted to confirm that the Race of Remembrance (RoR) 2025 will take place from Saturday, 8th November, and Sunday, 9th November, at its spiritual home – Trac-Mon Anglesey Circuit in North Wales.
Firmly established as one of the absolute highlights of the annual motor racing calendar within the UK, the fabulous 12-hour race – which aims to deliver reflection, camaraderie and community spirit, as well as superb competition – is back for its 11th staging.
Alongside the announcement of this year’s date, Mission Motorsport can also confirm registrations for the event are open for competitors to secure their place. Last year, in excess of 50 teams participated in an outstanding race.
While the action at Anglesey is the blue riband event of Race of Remembrance, more broadly RoR is a multi-activity and multi-venue endeavour across the country. In short, it is the way the British motorsport industry marks Remembrance weekend.
Renowned for the incredible work done with military veterans from the entire Armed Forces’ family since its inception in 2014, Mission Motorsport with all of its amazing staff and volunteers has truly created something very special indeed.
The Race of Remembrance at Anglesey, which was named Event of the Year by Motorsport UK last year, will once more be run in partnership with the British Racing and Sports Car Club (BRSCC). Entries are welcomed from a wide range of road car-based racers with a maximum 2.0-litre engine capacity and street-legal tyres.
Most notably, of course, the race is known for the Remembrance Sunday service which actually punctuates the track action and provides incredibly poignant reflection and shared emotion from all gathered at the track.
The Service of Remembrance begins at 10.45 on the Sunday morning, shortly after the 12-hour race has been paused behind the Safety Car. Drivers, team personnel, families, marshals and circuit staff all gather as one in the pitlane to remember, reflect and celebrate those military who have gone before and made the ultimate sacrifice.
At 11.00 UK time the entire venue will fall silent as everyone’s respects are paid, the service led by a Military Padre. Not only a time to reflect and remember those lost in conflicts around the world, but just as much a time to provide support and healing to those here who have given everything to defend and protect King and country.
Ahead of the main race for the fifth year in succession, the RoR ClubSport Trophy will also be contested at Anglesey. Running over a duration of 45 minutes, the mini-endurance race, which features pit-stops, welcomes single driver entries and two-driver combinations with a five-class structure.
Further RoR events across Remembrance weekend include the Karting Race of Remembrance (RoR) which will take place at Thruxton Karting Centre, adjacent to Thruxton Circuit near Andover, Hampshire.
In its fifth year in 2025, Karting RoR features 18 teams which comprise veterans, serving personnel, motorsport fans and, realistically, anyone who wishes to take part in this hugely popular event!
Starting on the morning of Remembrance Sunday, the two-hour endurance karting event pauses just as the Anglesey RoR does for the Remembrance Service at 11.00 in the pitlane. Those taking part are asked to fundraise a minimum of £100, in addition to paying the entry fee, with all monies donated to Mission Motorsport, the Forces Charity.
Meanwhile, #YourRoR is a fundraising campaign for those who wish to hold their own related events, be part of the weekend’s activities, but who may not necessarily be all that interested in motorsport!
Bake sales, sponsored walks, running a marathon, cycling, charity car washes, quiz nights – all fantastic ways of helping to raise vital funds to help veterans and their families who are in need of vital support.
James Cameron, CEO Mission Motorsport, said:
“The 80th anniversary of VE Day and world events bring the importance of Remembrance into ever sharper focus. RoR is such a powerful tool for recovery, but it has been reorganised for its impact on the whole motorsport community. That pilgrimage to North Wales for many is cherished – we love it – and it is wonderful so many others see it as an essential and uplifting part of the year. Let’s go racing!”
Christopher Tate, Mission Motorsport Chairman, said:
“Our small charity consistently punches well above its weight in providing sporting opportunities to our ex-service beneficiaries, whatever their need. We have given many the chance to acquire a racing licence and experience the thrills of something most had never dreamed of. The funds raised by this wonderful annual event give us, the volunteer Trustees, the means to spend the following year delivering a wide range of support services for those impacted by their military service. If you’ve not yet been to Anglesey in November, please join us - to race, or to marshal, to support a team or just to spectate – you will be moved, and changed by the experience” .
BRSCC COO, Paul McErlean, said:
“Everyone within the BRSCC Operations Team is delighted to have been invited to once again work with Mission Motorsport to deliver this wonderful event. The 2025 Race of Remembrance will be the Club’s 5th consecutive year of organising the event and we’ll be pulling out all the stops to ensure that we see as many cars and teams entering to ensure the maximum return for the charity.
Every penny passed onto to Mission Motorsport from RoR events is greatly appreciated, and the more teams that enter, the more the charity can support their beneficiaries. For any team or racing driver who hasn’t yet experienced competing in Race of Remembrance, it’s something you really should get involved with. It’s quite simply the best event you’ll compete in all year”.

Sponsorship
Commercial support is vital in the running of Mission Motorsport’s events, such as the provision by Jaguar of an F-type SVR to be the famous ‘Poppy Car’. For 2025, the car features a striking livery featuring Sir Winston Churchill’s famed VE Day speech from 8th May 1945.
Any businesses or organisations who would like to become involved in sponsoring any of the Race of Remembrance events are invited to get in touch. Support on all levels, large or small, is vital to the success of the RoR and all funds raised contribute to the running costs and the support given to those impacted through their military service.
Along with the positivity of being associated with Mission Motorsport’s incredible work for veterans, businesses and brands who choose to partner with RoR can enjoy the benefits of the event’s media presence and a growing, fully engaged audience.
Media coverage in recent years has been carried by national broadsheet and tabloid newspapers such as The Telegraph and The Sun, and popular automotive magazines EVO, Car and Motor Sport. For details of the sponsorship packages available, contact fundraising@missionmotorsport.org
