Race of Remembrance At Anglesey

As I was sliding around, getting in everyone’s way, it occurred to me that, although I’ve been racing for a quarter of a century, the Race of Remembrance is the only actually important race I have ever done or will ever do.

The Race

With several classes to be entered, you will see a variety of different cars on track. From Caterhams to Citroen C1s, from Lotus Elises to Mazda MX5’s and even a special invitation class allowing a different type of car to enter the race including the infamous Honda CRV converted race car. Although unique, all come to the track with one mission - to commemorate the fallen, and those that remain with us in a very special Pitlane of Remembrance.

After a hugely successful race last year which saw the biggest number of entries ever, Mission Motorsport is partnering with BRSCC to bring you Race of Remembrance at Anglesey. Like previous years, it promises to provide not only beneficiaries with on-the-job training opportunities and driving experience but the wider motorsport community with some challenging and exhilarating racing.

Held across the Remembrance weekend, this unique 12-hour endurance race which is suspended for a special pitlane service on Remembrance Sunday is looking set to see over 50 teams and 150 drivers participate.

Open to a variety of race cars, the vehicle as stipulated by the regulations must be no more than 250bhp per tonne.

RoR Clubsport

The entry fee for this year's ROR ClubSport Trophy race is once again just £245.00. We'd love to see another full grid of cars lining up and we know there are many faithful Clubsport drivers that would love to get involved.

After a successful first two years running this race in 2021 and 2022, we're thrilled to confirm that we will once again be running the ROR BRSCC ClubSport Trophy race in 2023!

This is another special edition of the popular 45-minute mini-endurance pit stop race that will take place on the Anglesey Circuit / Trac Môn, ahead of the main RaceofRemembrance on Saturday November 11th 2023.

As normal, entries allow both solo and two-driver combos to compete with the same five class structure based on power to weight ratio capped at 235bhp per tonne. Cars must run on Motorsport UK List 1A/ 1B/ 1C tyres and comply with series regulations, although Invitation class entries will be permitted at the discretion of the organisers.

Any drivers that haven't raced in or registered for ClubSport Trophy this season will need to make sure they register for the series first on the BRSCC RaceHub (registration is free) before they can enter the ROR ClubSport race. Paid practice on the Friday is also available to book at £150.00, and this can also be added at the point of entry.

The Race Organiser

Once again, all administration for Race of Remembrance will be handled by BRSCC. Formed back in 1946, BRSCC (British Racing & Sports Car Club), the club is responsible for hosting a variety of different race events including 35 race meetings and 25 championships, and is FIA sanctioned.

Over the years, the BRSCC has played a leading role in introducing to the British motorsport scene such activities as endurance racing, the Birmingham International Superprix, night racing, race events abroad and the prestigious Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch, which has proved to be a successful breeding ground for future F1 stars and still thrills spectators to this day.
